Criminal damage to vehicles - Stolen Number Plates

RE: Safer Neighbourhood Team – Community Safety Notice

The Safer Neighbourhood Team is aware of a recent increase in reports of vehicle number plate thefts within the local area. We would encourage residents to remain alert and take appropriate measures to help prevent further incidents.

Residents are advised to:

Park vehicles in well‑lit and visible locations wherever possible

Ensure vehicles are securely locked at all times

Consider the use of CCTV, doorbell cameras, or additional driveway lighting

Fit anti‑tamper or security screws to vehicle number plates

Report any suspicious behaviour in the vicinity of parked vehicles

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will be increasing patrols within the area to deter offending and identify those responsible. We continue to work proactively to address this issue and support community safety. If you or anyone you know has been the victim to this type of crime, please report it through the West Mercia website.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police via 101, report online, or use 999 in an emergency.
